Miniature forests

These weeds are growing through the paving after the rains. I thought it would be fun to take a couple photos from their level.

I run past young trees like these on one of my routes, and each time I can’t help but think that these trees are like puppies. Just like puppies have oversized paws, these trees seem to have oversized leaves that they’re going to grow into over time.

A stroll through the Vatican City

I went for a relatively quick stroll through the Vatican City with a colleague this afternoon. It’s spectacular, and busy. I snapped a couple photographs along the way. I’m planning to return there tomorrow morning to spend some more time taking better photos.

My wife and I took the day off to celebrate our recent anniversary. We kicked off our day with a hike through hills on the outskirts of our city.

I went for a walk to drop off some library books. The machine that I wanted to use to drop off the books was out of order. I found some decorated, though weathered, city benches along the way.
