My wife suggested I create a photoblog as a platform for my photos (I am getting more and more into my photography and while I may not be technically proficient, I am enjoying it tremendously).
So, anyway, here is my new photoblog. I hope this blog works for you and for me!
My shoes haven’t seen shoe polish for a long time!

The Israeli government and civil society alike have recently been extremely active in cyberspace, especially in war time, when shaping the international opinion often becomes essential to achieving military objectives. The Israeli consulate in New York received a lot of praise for their Twittering during the recent war in Gaza; however, many other low-key initiatives have received considerably less attention.
This is an interesting article. It is increasingly more important to influence the media whenever Israel takes action (particularly against Palestinians) to protect or advance its interests. The most recent Gaza incursion was a good example of where the real battle seemed to be more in the media and online than on the ground. Employing social media to undertake a lower level campaign online is a pretty smart move.

Winston, a homing pigeon, has made history by beating a Telkom ADSL line in delivering 4GB of data from Howick to Hillcrest, outside Durban in just 2 hours 6 minutes and 57 seconds, whereas the ADSL download was “still just under four percent complete” at 11:45.
What an indictment of Telkom’s DSL service! They should be ashamed but, of course, they won’t be.

The Metropolitan Fire Service (MFS) in Adelaide says it is worrying that two girls lost in a stormwater drain raised the alert on a social networking site rather than ringing triple-0.
The 10- and 12-year-old girls updated a Facebook status to say they were lost in a drain on Honeypot Road at Hackham in Adelaide’s southern suburbs on Sunday night.

During the twentieth century, an astounding proportion of geniuses have been Jewish, and the fate of nations from Russia westward has largely reflected how they have treated their Jews.
