Frikkin' Nokia N73 software update

Whatever you do, don't update your Nokia N73's software to version 4.0736.3.2.1. It will completely bugger up your bluetooth connectivity. My MacBook and my phone can't communicate wirelessly except to acknowledge each other's presence. They won't talk to each other at all and I am caught in the middle.To make matters worse I didn't research the software first for any glitches and jumped at the chance for an upgrade in the hope it would address the frustratingly slowness that is my phone.
Frack.
If I had the cash I would throw this thing at a wall really hard and fast and run off to buy a new phone. I don't have the cash so I am stuck with this mildly functional paperweight.
Double frack.
Is it worth re-flashing the phone and having to set everything up again or should I accept my fate and wait for Nokia to eventually come to my rescue?
I would very much like a new phone and I am thinking about the N82. It seems to be a really good phone on all fronts and I hope it doesn't suffer from the foibles of its younger cousin.

Well, i did today n70 software update and after that my phone cant turn on..
first i have install that update software on my pc download it from nokia site.
then i did phone update tru pc suite tab,and software update for phone start downloading ,after that i got msg that update is in progress and that i cant remove cable or turn off my mobile phone or it will not work..
then soon i got message phone recovery ,pls take the battery out of mobile phone and plug out charger which was not pluged in at all.then back in battery and charger then pres power button for a few seconds and click retry on that msg window.
when i take the usb cable out from my phone to remove battery .after that i cant turn my mobile on its kinda dead..
anybody know what to do ?
any hlp would be more than appreciated..

Same problem with my N73 ME also, after updating it to New software 4.0812 it's not powering on, update stuck up at setep 3 and shows phone recovery screen.
Please let me know what is the solution for this....

Hello. Problem with n73 ME after trying to update to new version. Now phone can only light keyboard and black screen after turning on. Only way to fix i've found so far is to use Phoenix service utility, but i'm not sure its safe. So would be thankful for solutions.

Nokia doesnt seem to care about the mobiles once they are sold because they already have the money from you.
Intel has a superb system for its motherboards that Nokia can learn from. If the motherboard BIOS gets screwed up all you have to do is download a special software and burn this software on a cd. Then you set the jumpers and start the computer the BIOS is automatically updated and the motherboard is recovered for higher level manipulation.
Nokia phones are dead as a doornail once you foul up the update and their cables are not too good either.
I believe a good engineer can reserruct the phone by removing the battery and connecting a special connector and reloading the software.
