Mon, February 5, 2007 at 15:33 The Social Media blog has a list of characteristics of social media to help distinguish social media from old media:
- Communication in the form of conversation, not monologue.
- Participants in social media are people, not organizations.
- Honesty and transparency are core values.
- It's all about pull, not push.
- Distribution instead of centralization.
Quite a nice list actually!
