Controlling speedsters … the Dutch way

Every year speeding kills on South African roads.  Each holiday season we have statistics telling us how many people were killed compared to previous years and it sometimes seems like speeding is becoming more and more of a problem in South Africa.  Locally, the police and/or metro have tried crafty speed traps, speedbumps, traffic circles and anything else they could lay their hands on.


Well, the Dutch have come up with a method that, while not the most popular idea ever, seems to be working:
