Governments using RSS

The Newsgator blog has a post about how governments are starting to see the value in RSS feeds for information published on their sites. Predictably, this is largely taking place in developed countries (although South Africa was mentioned but I haven't come across many government sites with feeds) but I'd like to think it is only a matter of time before more governments and state bodies use feeds to communicate their information to citizens.
