JD Hull has a great reminder for all of us bloggers:

folks, if you are going to do this blog thing, please pick up the phone, talk to people, travel, and meet with people in the flesh, too. (Which bloggers are doing increasingly but, in my view, not enough--why confine yourself to "e-mail vibe" relationships?) There is no substitute for these human activities in building a life or a business

I agree 100% even as I am one of those people that reminder is aimed at. I was just remarking to a colleague in Kansas that in many ways I feel like I have been living in a hole the last few years. One of my challenges is to move out of my silos and really get involved with the local blogging community which is really proving to be a dynamic and innovative community.
