Yahoo! buys Flickr and I only found out now!

Well all the rumours are true!  Caterina Fake over at Flickr announced that Yahoo! has bought Flickr (I only found out a few minutes ago):

Holy smokes, SOMEBODY out there is bad at keeping secrets!!  Yes! We
can finally confirm that Yahoo has made a definitive agreement to
acquire Flickr and us, Ludicorp. Smack the tattlers and pop the
champagne corks!

I am not going to rehash the whole post but suffice to say the possibilities are very interesting indeed.  I have my own (very private) account at Yahoo! so the combination of two of my favourite services is very exciting.  This announcement comes pretty soon after Yahoo! entrance into the blogosphere with Yahoo! 360.
