About
My name, as you might have guessed, is Paul Jacobson. I am a self-styled blogger/evangelist/maven and I write about Web and technology products and services that excite me. I am a big believer in the real-time Web and you can find my lifestream on FriendFeed. You can find links to my Twitter and other accounts through my FriendFeed badge in the sidebar to this blog or through my FriendFeed profile. You can find out more about me here and here too.
I am occasionally invited to attend product launches and try out new products and services by various companies. One such company is Nokia. These companies sometimes give me free stuff and buy me meals in the hope that I will write about their products and services. For the most part I do write about them but I like to think I only write what I believe and not what these companies would like me to say. That being said I am not a journalist and don’t purport to be one. Much of what I write is biased mainly because I am passionate about the things I write about. I do regard myself as an evangelist after all. That passion means I am not totally objective. It is up to you, dear reader, to decide whether what I write is credible and valuable to you. I just thought I should let you know where it comes from.
I live in Johannesburg, South Africa with my beautiful wife, our gorgeous little boy and 3 very cute Dachshund puppies.
This blog is largely an expression of my opinion about a variety of topics. Unless I have specified otherwise, the opinions expressed here are my personal opinions and are not intended to be professional advice on any topic.
