Kentucky Fried Cruelty

Watch more videos at KentuckyFriedCruelty.com.

When you are done watching those videos head over to Justin’s blog and read his post about this. I don’t know if this is how chickens are prepared for my KFC lunches here in Joburg but after watching this video, KFC is off my menu.

I would like to know how Nandos procures their chickens and whether the same cruelty occurs at their suppliers?

Yes, since reading Justin’s post on Wednesday I have been wondering the same thing – about Nandos and everyone else too! I wonder if there is any way that we as consumers can get access to this kind of information?

You know, I guess it will depend on whether these companies are monitoring these kinds of posts and talk about where their chicken comes from and how it is raised/manufactured. I am sure there are also animal rights organisations that monitor this sort of thing too. I was involved in a law based organisation like this that looked into Woolies chicken and its claims about using free range chicken as opposed to battery chicken farming (I think Woolies does the right thing).
