Oh I have this phone almost two years and I still have not any problems with it. This phone is really comfortable and works perfectly for me. All softwares which are needed for me works without any disturbances. I am very pleased with this mobile phone and I hope that I won't have any problems with it and in the future. Thanks for the interesting article.

Sincerely,

Jim Craigton from software application development

I will not buy N73 EVER AGAIN. I believed in Nokia once, but now I hate Nokia with every inch of my body. I liked the looks and the feature of N73 when I bought it. Its initial firmware was 3.7. something. Back then it was not able to make service calls (which was crucial for me). So I did the software update, now I was able to make service calls, but my call button was not working rarely. I restarted the phone and everything was managable. I updated my phone all the way to 4.0839.42.0.1 to get rid of this problem. Now when my call button stops working I restart the phone, but now phone does not boot up!! It is stuck in the NOKIA screen, I have to restart it a couple of times more to get the damn thing to work.
What kind of tests does NOKIA do when they release a new software update? I guess they just don't, because it would be very easy to figure out if something is wrong, when the phone DOES NOT boot up. I advise NOKIA to hire some test engineers, or let me just do the tests for benefit!

Go buy HTC if you want a decent phone!

I appreciate the vote of confidence but I don't work for Nokia and really can't help you with this. Perhaps take your phone to your nearest Nokia agent?

Nokia doesnt seem to care about the mobiles once they are sold because they already have the money from you.

Intel has a superb system for its motherboards that Nokia can learn from. If the motherboard BIOS gets screwed up all you have to do is download a special software and burn this software on a cd. Then you set the jumpers and start the computer the BIOS is automatically updated and the motherboard is recovered for higher level manipulation.

Nokia phones are dead as a doornail once you foul up the update and their cables are not too good either.

I believe a good engineer can reserruct the phone by removing the battery and connecting a special connector and reloading the software.

Check this link if you are the engineering type
