Thanks Louisa! The pay in for the N95 is nuts and it struck me that if I were to wait for the phone to be free there will be a new, better phone by then and the cycle will start all over again.

And yes, there is a bit of a justification after the fact but on the whole I don't regret my decision. I have seen some pretty awesome phones on the horizon and there will be a lot more Nokia hotness after the N95. The upcoming E90 (http://mea.nokia.com/link?cid=PLAIN_TEXT_128486) is pretty awesome, if not a bit too big for my purposes. It replaces the 9000 series and supports data transfer rates of up to 3.6 Mbit/sec through HSDPA and has a 3.2 megapixel camera.

Congratulations on your new phone! :-)

I went through the same process less than a month ago and also decided on the N73 due to the bad battery reviews on the N95. I'm not sorry at all - the N73 is fantastic, I love it. But I spent days poring over reviews of phones before I finally decided...and then the little man at the shop tried to sell me a N95 with a R3000 pay in! There's no way I could live with a phone that needs charging daily, and especially not for that pay in.
