The people have spoken!

April 14th, 2005 Leave a comment Go to comments

When I found out that my blogging technique may be flawed and my tendency to truncate any post longer than six words didn’t endear me to my readers, I sought guidance from the gurus of blogging.  With their guidance I have decided to stop truncating everything.  Rather than not truncating posts at all (I can be a bit long winded and go on for a while), I will only truncate really long posts.  All other posts will be presented in their full glory.  I hope this solution works for you and I apologise in advance for any frustration which you may experience when I do truncate from time to time.

As an aside, if you do subscribe to my feed, you will receive the full posts.

Big thanks to Roy, Rich, Martin, Michael and Darren.  Thanks guys!  I appreciate your suggestions and input.

  • The elephant with the long trunk ate my blog comment!

(That's just to satisfy D'ave. Hmmm... I think I'll try truncating D'ave... here's the result... Dave. Ouch.)

An aside... thanks for calling me a blogging guru, Paul. Made my morning. Well, not the WHOLE morning. Just a bit of it. A truncated part.

    Happy day.

  • Mate, that is without doubt the most times I have ever seen the word 'truncate' (and it's many different forms) used in one sentence.

    Nice!
