WordPress installations made easy

March 12th, 2005 Leave a comment Go to comments

I just managed to install WordPress on Leo Archer’s servers and I am really impressed with myself for following the directions and managing to do it right.  I initially had version 1.2 installed and have now upgraded to 1.5 and I really couldn’t have done it without the help of the fine contributors to the WordPress Codex, particularly the articles on installing and upgrading WordPress.

If you are installing WordPress or even just trying it out, don’t do it without consulting these resources first.  At least, not if you are, like me, clueless when it comes to PHP and more advanced HTML than simple hyperlinks.
